Saturday Evening 10th November 2007 - Nelsonian Dinner at the Royal Naval Museum
This year, the NAS Annual Conference Dinner will be held in the Nelson Gallery of the Royal Naval Museum in Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard - the only museum devoted to the ships of the Royal Navy and the men and women who served in them.
The evening will commence with drinks in the famous Victory Gallery, and will include a tour of one of the Museum’s two new exhibitions - 'Chasing Freedom: The Royal Navy and the Suppression of the Transatlantic Slave Trade' or Task Force South: The Navy and Falklands War' . Coupled with the stunning venue, this will make the evening an opportunity not to be missed.

Sunday 11th November 2007 - Sail a Tall Ship!
Sailing a Tall Ships Adventures is one of the most exhilarating experiences there is! The day will start with at 8am at Gunwharf Quays with some training, then out into the Solent we will go, with you actually crewing and sailing the ship. Each Tall Ship crew member gets involved in helming, setting and stowing the sails, and keeping a lookout - a real hands-on experience where you get right into running the ship. What better way to live nautical archaeology than on a magnificent 60 metre square-rigged ship!
The day will include Bacon Butties (a better breakfast then Nelson himself had!), morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on board and we will return around 4pm.
Even if you are not coming to the Conference, you are more than welcome to join us!! Places are limited to 44. Get in quick!
Cost: Reserve List Only.
